ITS CHECKOUT COUNTERS
The first checkouts under the trade name of ITS rolled off the assembly line in March 2003 as a result of the InterTradeShop company's efforts to set up national production of high tech cashier stations to follow the upward trend of the market without any delay.
As producers, we identify four performance indicators of checkout counters:
- styling design
High values of these indicators are achieved thanks to the European process engineering (production technique for Polish IC checkout counters) faithfully "copied" in Zelenograd. Since March 2003, our technical experts have improved on the manufacturing procedures by fine-tuning them, on the one hand, to suit the specific requirements of the Russian consumers, and on the other hand, to meet the ever growing demands of the modern retail business as a whole. These modernization efforts culminated in introduction of new models to expand even further the lineup, wide as it was, and to improve on the functionality/ergonomics parameters of the earlier items.
PRODUCTION PROCESS AND EQUIPMENT
The manufacturing facilities are outfitted with Finland-made FINN-POWER equipment, which makes it possible to execute the key production operations (cutting and bending of metal) with high precision. The welding practices followed ensure safe and damage-free processing of parts, however small they might be. The checkouts are painted using powder spraying technique following dismearing of the surfaces. The result paintwork is uniform in texture and capable of surviving in hostile environment.
The high quality of ITS checkout counters is additionally ensured through the use of imported production stock up to 90%.
The finished checkouts are checked for conformance to quality standards. Technical experts thoroughly check the surface made of stainless steel for scratches and damage. The conveyor operation is test-run for several minutes.
The articles tested are put on a pallet and covered in air bubble film sealed with adhesive tape. For shipment over great distances the checkout is placed in a wooden crate.
We launched production of label tape in Zelenograd in 1997. The state-of-the-art equipment installed at the facilities can manufacture label tape in all nominal sizes with and without (preprinted) text. As label starting material, we use superior quality FASSON paper manufactured at a European facility of the famous Avery Dennison company. It is thanks to such paper that the label guns using tape made by us have a significantly longer service life.
